The following are useful key strokes to eliminate the use of the mouse and increase the speed of your browsing in Firefox. These keystrokes will work in Linux and Windows.
CTRL+L: Select the URL bar
CTRL+K: Select the search bar
CTRL+T: Open new tab
CTRL+W: Close current tab
CTRL+TAB: Shuffle tabs forward
CTRL+SHIFT+TAB: Shuffle tabs backward
CTRL+R: Refresh
CTRL+F: Open find dialogue
CTRL+H: Open history menu
CTRL+D: Bookmark current page
CTRL+U: View page source
BACKSPACE: Go back one page
ALT+RIGHT ARROW: Forward one page
ALT+LEFT ARROW: Back one page
ALT+HOME: Go to homepage
CTRL+K followed by CTRL+DOWN ARROW: Select search bar and change search engine

To pop a banner which can contain any message you want to display just before a user is going to log on, go to the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\WinLogon
Now create a new string Value in the right pane named LegalNoticeCaption and enter the value that you want to see in the Menu Bar. Now create yet another new string value and name it: LegalNoticeText. Modify it and insert the message you want to display each time Windows boots. This can be effectively used to display the company’s private policy each time the user logs on to his NT box. It’s .reg file would be:

Restricting Access to Command Prompt
Prevents users from running the interactive command prompt.
If you enable this setting and the user tries to open a command window, the system displays a message explaining that a setting prevents the action.
Start -> Run -> Gpedit.msc -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Click on System -> On right pane find Preven Access to command Prompt -> Right Click -> Properties -> Click Enable -> Ok -> Reboot
When u restart ur system your Command has gone.
To restore this setting click on Not Configured

A new Search Engine in competition to Google was launched on last monday named cuil by former Google engineers couples and recently yahoo has introduced Yuil.
Yuil is a mashup of Yahoo! search results presented using the new Cuil look and feel, and running on Google’s App Engine,” as Tyler Hall tells us.
Yuil is actually the product of Yahoo VP of Platforms, Sam Pullara, who is using the site to show off Yahoo’s recently-released BOSS API. BOSS is unique among search engine APIs, giving developers an unprecedented level of control over results generated by Yahoo’s search engine. And while Yuil isn’t really doing anything new with its search results, they’re more relevant than the occasionally bizarre ones we’ve been getting from Cuil.

A startup led by former star Google engineers on Sunday unveiled a new Web search service that aims to outdo the Internet search leader in size, but faces an uphill battle changing Web surfing habits. The technology it uses to index the web can understand the context surrounding each page and the concepts driving search requests, say the founders
